I really enjoy this food scale. At first, I didn’t understand how to use the feature where it subtracts the weight of a bowl or plate, but once I got that, I was on a roll. It helps me keep track of my macros because I like to be as accurate as possible. To be honest, I dont use the feature that allows the scale to give you the macros on the exact food you’re weighing (use the app) because it was all fun work and I prefer to use the nutrition facts on the app

Got this to accurately measure kibble grams for my doggo who needs to lose weight 🙁. Love it so far!! So easy to use (tare is so easy, this is my first food scale so this may or may not be the norm), just the right size for his storage containers (I prep meals the night before), nice compact size/weight. Makes prep a breeze and is MUCH more accurate than measuring cups. Stainless steel is easy to keep clean. Easy to read display . And it comes with batteries, so you can immediately start using it. Great buy!

Love this food scale. Use it for baking and soap making. Genuinely have had no issues with it since I got it. I charge it every 2-3 months for about a half hour and has never died on me. It’s accurate and has passed weight tests. Good deal for the price.

So this was smaller than my previous Basics kitchen food scale, but I believe it is lower profile and easier to store in a drawer. It weighs food by digital grams and ounces… as versatile as anyone would need to weigh food I guess.. The tare function is useful in cancelling the weight of the bowl or plate you are using to hold the food you are weighing, so you don’t have to factor in the total weight of whatever you need portioned. The numbers are somewhat easier to see than other scales IMHO, or at least the digital scales I used to own anyway. The quality feels higher as well. One note is that the two AAA batteries came already installed, and the best part was that it was separated by a plastic tab that you pull out. How is that for connectivity? What a great idea!

I am enjoying this scale. It isn’t totally accurate, as the same thing can be said to be a gram or so different within a few minutes. But the differences are not at all worrisome. If you are worried about a gram either way, this isn’t the right sort of scale for you. For cooking, though, this is wonderful. I have used it particularly to weigh the various things I put in my morning cereal bowl, so that the concoction is more or less the same every morning and is reasonably in line with what the box says is one serving. Since my cereal bowls are large, it is all too easy to pour far too much into the bowl if you don’t weigh or measure the ingredients.Beyond simple weighing, probably the most useful feature for me is the Zero button. You can put an empty bowl on the scale, zero it out, and then easily get the weight of what you put into the bowl. The scale ignores the weight of the bowl itself. As you put the ingredients into the bowl, you can zero it out after each one, to get the weight of each ingredient separately, without any arithmetic. This feature is especially welcome first thing in the morning, when I am too sleepy to do the most elementary calculations correctly.It is also helpful to be able to weigh portions as you divide up meat or something else, such as a big bowl of salad, into single servings. Since I live alone and often need to do this, something to allow me to make the servings equal is invaluable.Of course, the scale is also useful for non-cooking tasks, when you need to know the weight of something small. For instance, are you sure that envelope you are putting in the mail is really under an ounce? Put it on the scale to be sure how much postage you need. (Changing from one unit of measurement to another is just a matter of touching a button, in this case perhaps several times, as the function circles through the various measures available, rather than jumping directly to the one you want.)Turning on or off is a matter of touching a button (no need to press; just touch). Operation is quick - most functions are virtually instantaneous. The exception is that the unit “thinks” a bit when weighing. The weight changes a little over a few seconds, so waiting until it stabilizes instead of taking the first weight displayed is a good idea, if you are looking for an accurate result. The change isn’t large, however, so if getting the most accurate possible weight is not important to you, there is no strong reason not to take the first displayed weight. Just know that what displays in the first second is probably slightly off.Charging, which I did need to do after a few months, is much quicker than I expected.. I put it on the charger, thinking that it would take hours, but it charged in much less. I didn’t note the exact time, so I can’t say just how long it took, but I remember being quite surprised at how fast it was.Overall, I am more than pleased. I hope the unit continues to function so well.
